  • Super Bowl to Generate $1 Billion in Legal Bets, Leading by Nevada, New York, and New Jersey According to PlayUSA.com
    Nevada was the second-largest market in 2021 and historically the top Super Bowl maket. PlayUSA projects that Nevada will produce the largest Super Bowl handle this year with $175 million. New York and New Jersey could generate $160 million and $130 million respectively.
  • Nevada December 2021 Unemployment Rate 6.4%, Decreased by 1.8% From December 2020
    According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s (DETR) December 2021 economic report, Nevada added 3,700 jobs in December 2021 as the state continues to recover from the COVID pandemic. The state’s unemployment rate in December is 6.4%, decreased by 0.5 from 6.9% in November and decreased by 1.8% when compared to December 2020.
    Las Vegas MSA Employment (Seasonally Adjusted) increased by 6,100 jobs (0.6 percent) since November. Compared to December 2020, total nonfarm employment saw an increase of 78,700 jobs (8.7 percent).
  • Fontainebleau Las Vegas Named Cliff Atkinson President
    Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a casino resort development set to open in Q4 of 2023, appointed Cliff Atkinson as President. Prior to joining Fontainebleau, Atkinson served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Luxor Hotel and Casino for MGM Resorts International.
