The City of Las Vegas recognizes CSN Student Life & Leadership Coordinator, Sean Tory, M.S. with a 2022 African American Trailblazer Award in the category of Tyrone Thompson Emerging Leader. The eighth annual African American Trailblazer Service Awards honor citizens who have made outstanding civic accomplishments and significant contributions to the Las Vegas community.

“Sean is a dynamic community leader with an exceptional ability to inspire action by modeling the CSN values of integrity and excellence through service. His impact on the CSN family is immeasurable and we could not be prouder of the important work he does in the community. No one is more deserving of this honor,” said Clarissa Cota, Vice President for the CSN North Las Vegas campus.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Tory holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from University of Nevada, Reno and a Masters of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is also a PhD student for Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Cultural Studies, International Education and Multicultural Education at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
