Two $10,000 grand prize winners have been named in Nevada State Bank’s $10,000 VISA Sweepstakes. The Las Vegas-area winners are Diana Nino and Joseph Fabionar.
“I was in disbelief,” Nino said. “I’ve never won anything like that before.” She immediately called her parents to tell them, and they, too, couldn’t believe her luck. Nino plans to save her winnings and said that her windfall feels more real to her after going into the branch and meeting with her bankers. Nino is a longtime NSB client, having opened her first account in 2004 when she started her first job at the former Wet ‘n’ Wild on the Las Vegas Strip.
Fabionar, too, thought his winning moment wasn’t real. “It’s blowing my mind,” Fabionar said. “I literally screamed in my car. Two weeks ago, I was saying I needed to come into some money, like $10,000. Then I got that phone call that day.”
Fabionar, an NSB client for two years, said he’s going to open a savings account with NSB and put most of his winnings there. He has five children and wants to put the money aside for them.
“I work near my branch and it’s convenient for me,” Fabionar said. “The service is really good, and I’ve never had issues at Nevada State Bank. They always try to help me. They always do their best to help their customers. As soon as I walked into the branch after I found out, they clapped and shouted. It was pretty exciting. I just feel fortunate.”
NSB clients were automatically entered into the sweepstakes when they made everyday purchases with their Nevada State Bank debit or credit card from Oct. 18, 2021 to Jan. 9, 2022. Clients received one entry each time they used their card to make a purchase.
