LAS VEGAS, NV – Nevada State Bank recently promoted SVP and Small Business Manager Megan Comfort to the Executive Management Committee, the group that oversees the bank’s management decisions. The committee, led by NSB President and CEO Terry Shirey, includes EVP/Chief Financial Officer Ryan Ashley, and EVPs Jill Bell, Tom Elmer, Craig Kirkland, Mike Lane, Shannon Petersen, Micah Phillips, James Rensvold, and Rick Thomas.

“Megan leads NSB’s small business team unifying our group of relationship managers and business banking officers. As the leader of our bank-wide small business efforts, Megan’s promotion to the Executive Management Committee reflects our commitment to the Nevada business community,” said Shirey. “In her two decades with NSB, Megan has demonstrated exceptional ability to understand the banking needs of our business community—and in fact, led NSB’s support of the PPP loan program in 2020-2021.”

Comfort has worked at Nevada State Bank for 20 years, including 18 years in commercial lending. She has a finance degree from UNLV and actively participates in local organizations such as Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Green Our Planet, Junior Achievement, and The Shade Tree.
