Matter Real Estate Group Announces New Director of Development Services

With a Master of Science in real estate development from MIT, Kim has led the design, development and construction for large-scale urban projects including the $8.5 billion CityCenter project in Las Vegas.

Matter Real Estate Group has announced David Kim as its new director of development services. In this role, Kim brings nearly 20 years of experience in construction management and development.

With a Master of Science in real estate development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Kim has led the design, development and construction for large-scale urban projects. He served as the first vice president with AECOM Tishman from 2003 to 2013, where he led pre-construction efforts for MGM Mirage CityCenter’s $8.5 billion project in Las Vegas. From 2013 to 2018, Kim was the senior vice president of design and construction in the west region for AECOM Capital, where he handled a construction portfolio totaling $5 billion consisting of large-scale mixed-use multifamily residential, boutique hotel, transit-oriented development and office facilities. Prior to joining Matter, Kim served as the president of the custom design build division at Blue Heron.

Kim is also an active member in local commercial real estate and architecture associations including American Institute of Architects Las Vegas chapter and Urban Land Institute Nevada chapter.
