Thousands of Local Volunteers Prepare for Super Bowl LVIII

Owners of Mario’s Westside Market were surprised with gifted tickets to Super Bowl LVIII.

Last Friday, the Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee hosted an orientation for over 7,000 volunteers for Super Bowl LVIII. During the event, the NFL and the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee surprised Samuel Johnson Jr., Kathleen O’Connor, William (Bill) O’Connor and Mario Berlanga, Jr. of Mario’s Westside Market with four tickets to Super Bowl LVIII. Mario’s Westside Market has been serving the Historic Westside of Las Vegas for over 24 years and is the longest operating market in the Westside neighborhood.

The FBI and LVMPD Fusion team spoke about safety awareness. Other speakers included President and CEO of the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee, Sam Joffray, President of the Las Vegas Raiders, Sandra Douglass Morgan, Senior Vice President of Volunteer Operations for the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee, Trevor Bobb, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Steve Hill, President and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare, Rob Allen, and Regional President of Caesars Entertainment, Sean McBurney.
