The Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association and the Las Vegas National Bar Association Foundation (collectively, the “LVNBA”) has announced its 41st Scholarship & Awards Gala on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 5pm at the Orleans Hotel & Casino.
Each year, the LVNBA hosts its Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala to recognize and award various attorneys and entities throughout Southern Nevada. Founded in 1981, the LVNBA has grown in size and influence in the community. One of its core tenets is to diversify the Southern Nevada legal community by offering scholarships to local law students to obtain their degrees and help them to transit into the industry. Currently, in Nevada, about 190 African-American attorneys comprise approximately 3% of the membership of the State Bar of Nevada.

The awards category includes Attorney of the Year, Law Firm or Government Agency of the Year, Rising Star of the Year (young attorneys with less than five years of experience), Organization of the Year, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
