Yesterday, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced funding for Continuums of Care, bodies that coordinate the local implementation of the homelessness response system. The Las Vegas/Clark County Continuum of Care program will receive $14,981,348 to connect vulnerable individuals and families to housing, health care, and supportive services.

The American Rescue Plan Act included nearly $165 million in funding to Nevada for emergency rental assistance, as well as the funding for Nevada’s $500 million Home Means Nevada Initiative. Senator Jacky Rosen led the efforts in Congress to secure $166 million in the most recent bipartisan government funding bill for NeighborWorks, which directly funds Nevada HAND -- a nonprofit developer and operator of affordable rental homes for seniors and working families in Southern Nevada.
