Henderson, NV - Platinum Contracting of Nevada had donated $10,000 to C.T. Sewell Elementary School, a public pre-kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school based in Henderson. Of the total donation, nearly $7,000 fulfilled each teacher’s classroom wish list through Donors Choose, a national non-profit organization that allows individuals to donate directly to public school classroom projects.
The remaining funds donated were allocated towards the school’s Starbucks Store, an incentive program that rewards students for their academic achievements through new toys and necessities of their choosing. Platinum stocked the store with over 200 toys.
"The majority of our team members grew up in the Henderson community, right across the street from C.T. Sewell, and this area, the places and people in it are what shaped each of our lives,” said Dean Gettman, CEO of Platinum Contracting of Nevada. “Our hope is that these donations can do the same for the teachers and their students. We are grateful for teachers like them and what they do day in and day out.”
