OCA-Asian Pacific Advocates announced that it will host its 45th National Convention in-person at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from August 4th to 6th.

Founded in 1973, OCA–Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national, member-driven social justice organization of community advocates dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs).

Co-hosted with the OCA Las Vegas chapter, the OCA National Convention is a three-day event consisting of workshops, plenaries, and activities. For more information, please visit HERE.

This year’s theme is “Building Our Community’s Heroes”, which is intended to both uplift unsung Asian American and Pacific Islander figures and highlight the importance of mentorship.

This year’s keynote addresses featuring notable Asian Americans such as Chef Martin Yan, Alex and Maia Shibutani, Panney Wei, Benny Luo, Colin Fukunaga, Konrad Ng, and more. OCA will also honor U.S. Representative Ted Lieu, Andrew Ko, Stephanie Hu, and the late Irene Wu during a national awards gala on August 6.
