Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that that Nevada will receive $15,222,751 through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to help families lower their energy costs and fund energy efficient home repairs.
The LIHEAP program helps low-income families across Nevada reduce the costs of home heating and cooling bills, reconnect energy services that have been disconnected, prevent energy shutoffs, and make energy-related home repairs. Nevadans interested in applying for LIHEAP can visit energyhelp.us or call the National Energy Assistance Referral (NEAR) hotline toll-free at: 1-866-674-6327.
“As the winter season approaches, I’m proud to have helped secure more than $15 million to help bring down heating costs for Nevada families,” said Senator Rosen.
