On November 3, Mobil and the Nevada Mining Association hosted its first-ever Mining into the Future symposium at the Winnemucca Convention Center.

Attendees heard from industry experts on topics including sustainability, digital transformation, workforce development, and leadership through panels and keynote addresses.

Last month, we interviewed Tyre Gray, Esq., President of the Nevada Mining Association, about modern mining in Nevada, workforce development, and the trends and challenges shaping the industry.

Speakers of the sympsoium included NVMA's President and CEO Tyre Gray and VP of Operations Joe Riney, as well as representatives from ExxonMobil, NV Energy, Lithium Americas, PATHION, Nevada Gold Mines, Piteau Associates, BioAccelergy, Imperial Oil, Kiewit Corporation, P&C Recruiting and HR, the Governor’s Office of Workforce Innovation, KGHM, University of Nevada, Reno and Vincent ‘Bluto’ Saporito.
