LVMPD and Urban Chamber of Commerce Launch Black Giving Circle Program During Black History Month

The LVMPD is partnering up with the Urban Chamber of Commerce to launch Black Giving Circle. The initiative is designed to support the Black community to reduce crime, improve public safety, and further strengthened the positive connections between the Southern Nevada Black community and LVMPD.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation (LVMPD) is partnering up with the Urban Chamber of Commerce to launch Black Giving Circle during Black History Month. The initiative is designed to support the Black community to reduce crime, improve public safety, and further strengthened the positive connections between the Southern Nevada Black community and LVMPD.

Individual who join the Black Giving Circle as a member will receive invitations at special events, mentorship and volunteer opportunities. Memberships are ranging from corporate level to individual level with different benefits.

In partnership with NAACP Las Vegas Branch, the Black Giving Circle will host community programs such as Cooking with a Cop, Reading with a Cop, and Conversations with a Cop to encourage and create communication between young people and law enforcement.

Other events include Hockey United, Bolden Little League, Holiday Gift & Give, Empowering Our Girls Workshop, and Hip Hop & Entrepreneurship Program.
