Las Vegas, NV - Green Our Planet hosted its annual Fall Giant Student Farmers Market last week at the Clark County Government Center, with over 300 students from 30 schools across the valley participating.
The nonprofit trains teachers to use school gardens and hydroponics laboratories to teach students STEM, conservation, nutrition and entrepreneurship in a hands-on engaging way. Currently, Green Our Planet is working with over 800 schools across 44 states impacting over 200,000 students, empowering them to become the next generation of scientists, conservationists, farmers, chefs, engineers and entrepreneurs.
“We are truly blessed to have an organization as generous as Green Our Planet headquartered in Clark County with us. Over the years they have tirelessly supported not only our school district, but dozens across the country to bring these hands on lessons to students and give them a truly memorable experience,” said Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
