December 13: Healthcare Career Fair Offers Employment and Training Opportunities

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - More than thirty local healthcare employers hope to hire new employees to work in one of Nevada’s most in-demand industries during a Healthcare Career Fair on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Student Union Ballroom of the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus, 6375 W. Charleston Blvd. Many employers will be interviewing candidates onsite.

Those looking to enter the healthcare field or learn more about no-cost or paid training opportunities in healthcare are encouraged to pre-register for the event at: bit.ly/HealthcareCareerFair2022 to receive updates about participating employers and other important information. The event is free for both job seekers and employers.

The Healthcare Career Fair is a joint effort between Las Vegas HEALS, the College of Southern Nevada, the EmployNV Business Hub, and the Vegas Chamber as part of a first-of-its-kind regional effort called industry sector partnerships. Industry sector partnerships convene community, education and workforce stakeholders to help employers solve hiring and retention issues while building effective, sustainable pipelines of qualified employees.

“There is a growing need for qualified employees in the healthcare field, which means there is enormous opportunity for anyone looking for a career in this industry,” said Diego Trujillo, CEO of Las Vegas HEALS, a coalition of medical and wellness industry professionals, organizations, and institutions devoted to improving the access and delivery of healthcare in Southern Nevada. “Healthcare employers are anxious to find good hires interested in helping others while earning a great wage and benefits. If you have ever wondered about a career in healthcare, this event is for you.”

Additional partners for the regional industry sector partnership include the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, Workforce Connections, Clark County School District, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Nevada State College, Nevada Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation and others.
