Three Square Food Bank announced Beth Martino as its president and CEO. Her official first day is June 5th.

Martino has over 20 years of leadership experience in food bank, public affairs, and healthcare sectors. Prior to Three Square, Martino was the senior vice president of public affairs for the American Health Care Association, the nation’s largest association representing nursing homes and assisted living communities. While there, she and her team produced an Emmy Award-winning documentary highlighting the effect of the pandemic on these communities.  She also has served as president and CEO of the Maryland Food Bank; as associate commissioner for external affairs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration; and director of communications and press secretary for Kansas Governors Mark Parkinson and Kathleen Sebelius.

Born and raised in Kansas, Martino has a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in political science and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.

“Having lived in Southern Nevada for the past seven years, I’ve witnessed Three Square’s direct impact in the community, as well as the reach and support it has from so many wonderful philanthropic and professional partnerships,” Martino said. “I look forward to working with the team to build upon the stellar work the organization has embraced as we set our sights on strategic planning to determine ‘what’s next’ for this well-respected and essential community resource.”
