Local Fifth Graders Competed in “Shark Tank” Style Business Competition for UNLV Scholarships

Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada hosted its annual Shark Tank-style competition and luncheon at Allegiant Stadium. Fifth grade students from Fay Herron Elementary School competed for scholarships. Michael Crome, Las Vegas Raiders chief financial officer and a former Junior Achievement alum, is receiving Junior Achievement USA’s prestigious Gold Leadership Award.

Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada Raises $515,000 at Annual Walk

Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada hosted its 21st annual Walk for Wishes at Town Square Las Vegas last month. Over 1,5000 individuals came out to support the event and the nonprofit raised over $515,000 to help grant life-changing wishes for more than 250 children in Southern Nevada who are waiting for their wishes to come true.
