Last night, Formula 1 announced to host Las Vegas Grand Prix from 2023. The press conference was hosted at the Cosmopolitan Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip with the following speakers: Liberty Media President and CEO Greg Maffei, F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, LVCVA President Steve Hill, and Live Nation Entertainment CEO Michael Rapino.

F1 is not new to Las Vegas. Las Vegas hosted races in 1981 and 1982 off the Strip. Next year, F1 cars will race on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be one of the three races in America, joining Miami and Austin.  Please see renderings below from F1.

The 14-turn Las Vegas race circuit is 3.8 miles (6.12km), the second longest street track in F1, behind the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, and the third longest overall. Top speeds expected to hit around 212mph (342km/h). The race will run 50-laps.

Domenicali said: “This is an incredible moment for Formula 1 that demonstrates the huge appeal and growth of our sport with a third race in the US. Las Vegas is a destination known around the world for its excitement, hospitality, thrills, and of course, the famous Strip.

There is no better place for Formula 1 to race than in the global entertainment capital of the world and we cannot wait to be here next year. I want to thank everyone who helped deliver this event, especially Governor Sisolak, the Clark County Commission, Steve Hill at the LVCVA, and our local partners.”

Hill said, "“Formula 1 and Liberty Media have been incredible partners, and we look forward to November 2023 when we once again showcase that Las Vegas is ‘The Greatest Arena on Earth’.”

F1 is working with the following partners to promote this event internationally.
